SOURIS, P.E.I. — Carson MacDougall scored twice and earned an assist in leading the Mid-Isle Matrix to a 3-1 road win over the Kings County Kings on Friday night.

The Eastern Kings Sportsplex in Souris hosted the P.E.I. Under-18 AAA Hockey League game.

Reese Wyand (1-1) rounded out the scoring for Mid-Isle, which will take an 8-6-4 (won-lost-tied) record into Saturday’s game in Alberton against the Western Regals (6-6-5) at 7:30 p.m.

Gage Taylor and Braeden Tremere chipped in assists.
Gabe Hartlen from Denver MacDonald and Craig Steadman replied for the Kings (1-12-4).

The first period was scoreless, and Mid-Isle led 2-1 after the second.

Noah Visser picked up the goaltending victory. Drew Chapman allowed three goals in 49 minutes of action for the Kings. Landon Patton stopped all 11 shots he faced in 11 minutes.
