THUNDER BAY, Ont. — Team P.E.I. athletes, coaches and mission staff members wave to those in the stands at Tuesday’s opening ceremony for the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games in Thunder Bay, Ont.

The athletes had a chance to practice on Tuesday and began competition on Wednesday.

The event concludes on Saturday.
