MONTAGUE, P.E.I. — Isaac Knox scored four goals to spark the Arsenault’s Fish Mart Western Red Wings to a 7-4 road win over the Hynes Paving Maniacs in an Island Junior Hockey League game at the Cavendish Farms Wellness Centre in Montague on Tuesday night.
Chandler Wood (1-2), Silas Handrahan (1-1) and Connor Morrissey also scored for the first-place Red Wings, who improved to 17-2-2 (won-lost-overtime losses). Alex Morrissey and Isaac Callaghan each added two assists.
Nick Steele (1-1), Jake MacLaren (1-1), Tyson McInnis and Ty Peardon countered for the Maniacs (5-18-1).
The teams were tied 1-1 after the first period, but a four-goal middle frame sent the Red Wings into the second intermission up 6-2.
Winning goaltender Cole Gallant stopped 17 of 21 shots. Nicholas Jamieson made 36 saves on 43 shots for the Maniacs.
