CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Canadian Powerlifting Union’s national powerlifting and bench press championships will take place March 3-7 in Winnipeg

P.E.I. is sending four lifters and two referees to the event.

Jeri Munro will be competing in classic powerlifting in the master 1, 72-kilogram class. Heather Ayles will be lifting in the equipped powerlifting division in the master 1, 57-kilogram class.

Rachel Mayaleh and Breanne Burgoyne will both be lifting in the classic powerlifting, junior, 72kg class.

Stephen Flemming and Justin Smith will be serving as referees while Ayles will be both lifting and serving as a referee for some sessions.
