CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Billy White had a game-high 28 points Friday as the Moncton Magic picked up a 115-113 victory over the Island Storm during National Basketball League of Canada action at the Eastlink Centre.
The game was tied at 30 after the first quarter while Moncton took a 56-49 lead to the half and was up 89-82 heading to the fourth. The lead changed hands four times late in the contest before the visitors pulled out the victory.
Jonathon Loyd led the Storm with 25 points while handing out 15 assists for a double-double. Robbie Robinson also had a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds as did Lewis Diankulu with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Jeremiah Mordi chipped in 20 points for Moncton on 9-for-12 shooting.
The teams play a rematch Sunday at 2 p.m. in Moncton.
