ABRAM-VILLAGE, P.E.I. — Silas Handrahan had two goals and two assists Tuesday as the Arsenault’s Fish Mart Western Red Wings blasted the Hynes Paving Maniacs 7-1 at the Evangline Rec Centre.

The first-place Red Wings held 5-1 and 7-1 period leads en route to increasing their lead atop the Island Junior Hockey League standings.

Alex Morrissey had two goals and an assist for the home side while Alex Hambly had a goal and an assist. Thomas Rennie and Isaac Knox also scored.

Chasse Gaudette had three assists, Jack DesRoches chipped in two and singles went to Chandler Wood, Connor Morrissey and Isaac Callaghan.

Tyson McInnis from Jack King responded for the Maniacs.

Luke Oliver made 20 saves for the win while Cam Duffy was peppered with 58 shots in the loss.

Each team was 0-for-1 on the power play.

Western improved to 26-2-2 while the Maniacs are 7-22-2.
