KENSINGTON, P.E.I. — Keiran Gallant had a goal and three assists Sunday to lead the Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild to a 7-4 victory over the Fredericton Caps on the final day of the New Brunswick/Prince Edward Island Major Midget Hockey League Showcase in Kensington.

Alex Graham and Dixon MacLeod each scored twice in the victory while Reid Peardon and Donovan Arsenault also scored. Austin Arsenault had two assists while singles were credited to Will Proud, Isaac Vos, Reid Vos, Sam MacNeill, Kalib Snow, Landon Clow and Donovan Arsenault.

Dawson Breau, Jeremie Thibodeau, Noah Gibbs and Cam Thomson scored for Fredericton. Joshua Nadeau set up three of the goals.

Josh Smith made 20 saves for the victory while Matthew Parker stopped 24 shots in the loss.

Kensington held 2-1 and 5-3 period leads. The Wild was 1-for-8 on the power play and killed all seven of the Caps chances with the man advantage.

The Wild improved to 20-11-3 while the Caps are 17-17-1. Kensington hosts the Northern Moose (13-17-4) Monday at 1:30 p.m. in a makeup game.
