POWNAL, P.E.I. — Dawson Sharkey scored twice Thursday as the Eastern Express defeated the Central Attack 7-2 in P.E.I. Major Under-15 AAA Hockey League action.
Alexander Keus and Mason Power each had a goal and an assist in the win at the Pownal Sports Centre while Ross Campbell, Evan Nicholson and Aiden Wilson each chipped in a pair of helpers.
Ryan Dwyer, Owen MacPherson and Austin Walker also scored for the home side while Carson MacKenzie and Kayden McGuigan each contributed an assist.
Patrick McMonagle (shorthanded) and Will Yeo scored unassisted goals for Central.
Jackson MacDonald stopped 11 shots for the win while Ethan Clark faced 49 shots in the loss.
Eastern, which held 1-0 and 5-1 period leads, went 1-for-7 on the power play and killed all nine of the Attack’s chances with the man advantage.
The Express improved to 13-0-1 with their seventh straight victory while Central is 2-11-1.
