GEORGETOWN, P.E.I. — The Georgetown Tri County Insulfoam IceDogs erupted for four first period goals to defeat the North River Flames 6-2 Saturday in Razzy’s Prince Edward Island Junior C Hockey League action.

Derian Johnson had a goal and two assists to pace the IceDogs while Ethan Yorston had a goal and an assist.

Keir Warren, Cam White, Dasan Knockwood and Hayden Somers also scored in the victory at the Three Rivers Sportsplex. Colton Morris had two assists while Isaac McNeill, Dawson McCarthy, Matthan Runighan and Daniel Martell each chipped in one.

Connor Andrews had a goal and assist for North River. Owen Handregan had the other goal while Alex Young and Blake Gallant each contributed an assist.

Brandon Barrett stopped 23 shots for the win while Ryan Clory made 28 saves in the loss.

The IceDogs, who held 4-0 and 5-1 period leads, went 1-for-4 on the power play while killing all four of the Flames chances with the man advantage.

Georgetown improved to 2-6-0 while North River is 7-2-0.
