CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Cooper Church scored twice Monday to lead the Georgetown Tri County Insulfoam IceDogs to a 5-2 victory over the Sherwood Metros in Razzy’s Prince Edward Island Junior C Hockey League.

Keir Warren, MacKenzie Good and Daniel Martell also scored in the victory at Cody Banks Arena while an assist was awarded to Matthew MacDonald, Donovan Wyand, Cam White, Dasan Knockwood, Cole Mosher and Colton Morris.

Sam Valois and Sammy Docherty replied with the Metros goals with Marc Cummiskey, Brad McConnell, Michael Jenkins and Connor Jones each recording an assist.

Brandon Barrett stopped 36 shots for the victory while Keenan Hayden made 27 saves in the loss.

Georgetown held 2-0 and 4-1 period leads. Each team went 1-for-5 on the power play.

The IceDogs (6-11-0) leapfrogged the Metros (5-12-0) into third place in the five-team circuit with the victory.
