CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Matt Power had a four-point night to pace the Sherwood Drug Mart Central Attack to a 7-4 victory over the Kings County Kings Thursday in Prince Edward Island Midget AAA Hockey League action.
The Attack led 2-1 after the first period at Cody Banks Arena and took a 6-1 lead to the third, but the Kings responded and cut the deficit to 6-3 four minutes into the final frame.
Power and Owen Matheson each had two goals in the victory while Darian Jameson, John MacKinnon and Keegan Callaghan each tallied one. Power and Damiyan Boyle each contributed a pair of helpers while Matheson, Jameson, MacKinnon, Justin Richard, Benn Watts, Ethan MacDonald, Kyle Connell and Noah Dow chipped in one.
Spencer Miller, Jarrett Victor, Dylan Blackett and Jason Gormley scored for the Kings with Taylor Maguire and Jacob MacPhee both chipped in an assist.
Keegan Duffy earned the win while Drew Chapman allowed six goals in 33 minutes and Landon Patton gave up one in 27 minutes of relief.
The Attack was 3-for-9 on the power play while the Kings went 1-for-6.
Central improved to 11-8-4 while the Kings are 2-17-4.
