MONCTON, N.B. — The Kennebecasis Valley Kings from New Brunswick eliminated the Central Attack with a 6-2 victory Saturday morning in the first game of the playoffs in the bantam AAA division of the Monctonian Challenge.
The Kings led 2-1 after the first and scored four times in the second to take a commanding 6-1 lead to the third.
Luke Coughlin had a goal and an assist to pace the Attack, the defending champs, while Nathan Mossey also scored. Brennan Murphy, Brett Arsenault and Cam Squires each had an assist.
Central went 2-1 in preliminary round play and was the lone Island team to make the playoffs. The Eastern Express went 1-2 while the Mid-Isle Matrix and Prince County Warriors both went 0-3.
