Cain-Nordin, Anderson earn ’Canes weekly recognition

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Basketball players Courtney Cain-Nordin and Nathan Anderson are the Holland College Hurricanes athletes of the week.

Cain-Nordin made her Hurricanes debut Saturday, joining the team for the second semester of the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) season. She had 22 points, 10 rebounds, one steal and one block in an 80-60 victory over the Crandall Chargers in Moncton.

The five-foot-nine forward from Halifax previously played with the Saint Mary’s Huskies.

Anderson led the ’Canes with 16 points, 16 rebounds and one block in Saturday’s 91-76 road win over the Chargers.

The six-foot-six Nassau, Bahamas, native is studying journalism and communications program.
