CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Alan Brown rink from the Charlottetown Fire Department has repeated as the P.E.I. firefighters curling champions.

The squad of skip Alan Brown, third William Callbeck, second Mike MacRae and lead Winston Bryan defeated the Robert Campbell team from the Cardigan Fire Department 6-3 Saturday at the Charlottetown Curling Complex.
Campbell was down one in the final end with hammer. With the front of the house cluttered with guards and Brown sitting two behind cover, Campbell was unable to capitalize on his last shot resulting in Brown sealing the victory and completing a perfect 5-0 championship.

The Brown rink will represent P.E.I. at the Canadian Fire Fighters Curling Championship in Charlottetown from March 26-April 4.

Members of the Campbell rink included skip Robert Campbell, third Alice Rice, second Tyler Kerwin and lead Eric Decourcy.
