CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Former Charlottetown Islanders defenceman Xavier Bernard was named to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s team of the week on Monday.

The 20-year-old blue-liner had four assists and was a plus-7 in three games for the Sherbrooke Phoenix.

He was joined by Cape Breton defenceman Jarrett Baker, Halifax goalie Alexis Gravel, Moncton forward Benoit-Olivier Groulx, Blainville-Boisbriand forward Luke Henman and Chicoutimi forward Raphaël Lavoie.

Henman, a 19-year-old from Dartmouth, N.S., was named the player of the week after scoring four goals and setting up three more for seven points in two games. He was selected in the fourth round of the 2018 draft by the Carolina Hurricanes.
