Aiden Williams makes 40 saves as Charlottetown Knights defeat first-place Moncton Flyers

MONCTON, N.B. — It was a four-point weekend for the Charlottetown Bulk Carriers Knights in the New Brunswick/Prince Edward Island Major Midget Hockey League.

After scoring three unanswered third-period goals in a 5-2 victory over the Saint John Vitos on Saturday night, the Knights upset the first place Moncton Flyers 4-3 on Sunday afternoon.
Charlottetown improved to 11-17-5 (won-lost-overtime losses) while Moncton (30-3-1) lost for only the fourth time in the regular season.

40 saves

At the Superior Propane Centre in Moncton, N.B., goaltender Aiden Williams turned in a 40-save performance to backstop the Knights, who were outshot 43-25.
Colby Huggan (1-1), Gabe Hartlen and Nolan Stewart also scored for Charlottetown, which held period leads of 2-1 and 4-2. Simon Hughes (2) and Cam MacLean added assists.
Alexis Daniel, Alex Ferguson and Yanic Duplessis countered for Moncton.
Mathias Savoie tended goal for the Flyers.
