CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Island Storm will open the 2019-20 National Basketball League of Canada on Boxing Day.
The defending-champion Moncton Magic will provide the opposition for the 2 p.m. tip-off at Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown.
All eight teams will play a 36-game regular-season schedule. The playoffs will begin in late April.
The National Basketball League of Canada is in its ninth year of operation and also features the St. John’s Edge, Halifax Hurricanes, Kitchener-Waterloo Titans, London Lightning, Windsor Express and Sudbury Five.
