NANAIMO, B.C. – The Holland College Hurricanes are coming home with bronze medals from the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association men’s soccer championship.

Fifth-year fullback James Mallard scored in the 80th minute Saturday as the Hurricanes defeated the Keyano Huskies 1-0 in the third-place game in Nanaimo, B.C.

It is the college’s second national medal in men’s soccer with the first – a silver – coming in 2011.

The victory avenged the Hurricanes only loss of the tournament, a 2-0 defeat to the Huskies on the opening day of the event.
