SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — The 2018-19 MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League) rookie of the year is on the move.
It was announced on Saturday during the MHL Entry Draft that the Yarmouth Mariners have dealt goaltender Tyler Caseley of Spring Valley to the Valley Wildcats to complete an earlier trade between the two teams.
The 19-year-old Caseley went 25-7-1 (won-lost-overtime losses) while registering a 2.55 goals-against average and .911 save percentage in 36 regular-season games. He then went 12-2, with a 1.94 goals-against average and .928 save percentage, in helping the Mariners win the MHL playoff championship.
