MONCTON, N.B. – The Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild are going to the Monctonian final.
The Wild defeated Markham, Ont., 3-1 in Sunday morning’s semifinal to punch their ticket to the 3 p.m. championship game. Dartmouth Steele Subaru scored a power-play goal in overtime to defeat RNS Riverhawks 3-2 in an all-Nova Scotia game in the other semifinal.
Jack Campbell, Bennett MacArthur and Dixon MacLeod scored for the Wild. Colby MacArthur, Lucas Parsons, Keiran Gallant, Ethan Beaulieu, Isaac Wilson and Reid Peardon each had an assist.
Steven Klinck got Markham on the scoreboard 50 seconds into the third.
Chad Arsenault earned the win over Matteo Tarantino.
Kensington held 1-0 and 2-0 period leads.
