KENSINGTON, P.E.I. — The Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild is scheduled to host their final home game of the 2018-19 New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League regular season on Wednesday.

The Northern Moose will provide the opposition, weather permitting, and fans are asked to note the start time for this make-up game at Credit Union Centre is 7:50 p.m., and not the customary 7:30 p.m.

The Wild, who is locked in second place in the six-team league at 25-6-1 (won-lost-overtime losses), will close out the regular season on the road against the Fredericton Caps (8-21-4) on Sunday afternoon and a yet-to-be-announced make-up game versus the Moose.

The Wild will open the best-of-seven provincial major midget hockey championship series against the Charlottetown Bulk Carriers Pride (15-17-1) on home ice in early March while the New Brunswick teams will compete to determine that province’s provincial champion for the Atlantic championship in Charlottetown in April. Both the Wild and Pride have berths as Charlottetown is the host team and Kensington will be the P.E.I. representative.
After losing back-to-back league games for the only time this season on Dec. 29 and Jan. 2, the Wild has won six of their last seven games, including three in a row.
