ALBERTON, P.E.I. – Chandler DesRoches scored twice Saturday to pace the Western Regals to an 8-2 victory over the Sherwood Drug Mart Central Attack in Prince Edward Island Midget AAA Hockey League action.
Michael McRae and Chase Gaudette each added a goal and an assist as the league-leading Regals improved to 17-0-0. The Attack (4-13-1) is in the basement of the five-team circuit.
Ethan Oliver, Thomas Shea, Thomas Rennie and Alex Hutchison also scored for the home side at the Jacques Cartier Arena. Austin Callaghan, Kalim DesRoches and Carter Cahill each had two helpers while a single was awarded to Jack Reilly.
Owen Matheson and Isaac McCabe scored for Central with Ben Watts and Ryan McCabe had the assists.
Aiden Williams earned the win while Aiden Rose took the loss.
Western, which held 1-0 and 4-2 period leads, was 1-for-4 on the power play while Central was 1-for-5.
