SUMMERSIDE – The Summerside D. Alex MacDonald Ford Western Capitals will hit the road on Saturday.
The Capitals will travel to Berwick, N.S., to take on the Valley Wildcats in the MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League). Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The Capitals, coming off a solid 5-1 victory over the nationally-ranked Edmundston Blizzard on Thursday, are 26-14-1-0 (won-lost-overtime losses-shootout losses).
The Caps are in second place in the Eastlink North Division, eight points behind the first-place Blizzard (29-9-3-0) and seven in front of the third-place Miramichi Timberwolves (20-13-3-3) in the race for home-ice advantage in the opening round of the playoffs.

Edmundston was ranked No. 19 in this week’s Canadian Junior A Hockey League rankings.
The Caps, who have nine games remaining in the regular season, play their next home game on Islander (Monday, Feb. 19) against the St. Stephen Aces, who took a 9-28-0-1 record into Friday’s game against the Woodstock Slammers (10-24-4-2).
The Wildcats entered Friday’s home game against the Campbellton Tigers (19-16-2-1) at 14-24-1-1.
