SUMMERSIDE – The Summerside D. Alex MacDonald Ford Western Capitals did not move in this week’s Canadian Junior Hockey League rankings released on Monday.
The Capitals, who had a nine-game winning streak snapped with a 6-5 shootout loss to the Amherst Ramblers on Saturday night, remain at No. 5 for the second week in a row.
The Capitals sit atop the MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League) overall standings at 28-5-1 (won-lost-overtime losses).

The only other MHL team to crack the top-20 rankings were the Yarmouth Mariners (25-7-4) at No. 13. The Ramblers (24-9-2), coming off back-to-back wins over the Caps and Mariners, earned an honourable mention.
The Brooks Bandits, who have won 17 games in a row and sport an Alberta Junior Hockey League-leading 41-3 record, remain the top-ranked team in Canada.
The Capitals are back in action on Thursday against the Grand Falls Rapids (9-18-5). Game time at Eastlink Arena is set for 7 p.m.
