SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. —  The No. 1- and No. 2-ranked U Sports men’s hockey teams met to decide the national championship.

The top-ranked Alberta Golden Bears will meet the University of New Brunswick Reds in the winner take all final in Lethbridge, Alta., on Sunday at 9 p.m., Atlantic Time. The game will be televised live on Sportsnet 360.
The Reds, coached by Bedeque native Gardiner MacDougall, defeated the St. Francis Xavier X-Men 9-1 in one of two semifinals played Saturday. The Golden Bears blanked the Saskatchewan Huskies 3-0 in the other semifinal.
Forward and former Summerside Western Capital Stephen Anderson is in his fourth season with the Reds, and Kinkora native and former Western Capital Charlie Cameron is an assistant coach with UNB.
Defenceman Bailey Webster of Kelvin Grove is in his first season with the X-Men.
UNB pulled out a 2-1 win over the Carleton Ravens in a quarter-final game Friday afternoon.

The X-Men and Huskies meet in the bronze-medal game on Sunday.
