CORNWALL – Nick Trainor and Ben Peters led the Robins Mid-Isle Matrix offence on Tuesday night.
Trainor scored two goals and assisted on another for three points while Peters had four points – one goal and three assists – in a 5-0 victory over the Summerside Capitals.
The Matrix hosted the P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League contest at the APM Centre.
Zack Wilson and Colin Goodwin also lit the lamp for the league-leading Matrix, who improved to 15-4-3 (won-lost-tied). Zac MacKay chipped in with three assists, and Nic Havenga added a single helper.
Mid-Isle, which received shutout goaltending from Matthew Jelley, built period leads of 2-0 and 4-0.
Summerside fell to 4-16-0.
