CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – Logan Toole scored twice, including the game-winning goal, to lead the Sherwood Metros to a 4-3 victory over the North River Flames Monday in Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League action at Cody Banks Arena.

Toole’s second goal into an empty net made it 4-2 Metros with 43 seconds left in the game, but North River’s Keirsten Steele responded with a score (his second of the game, too) just 40 seconds later for a 4-3 gap and that’s where the game ended.

Tanner Power and Stephen Gaudet (1-1) had the other Metros goals, while Derian Vessey and Jake Arsenault each chipped in two assists.

Kurtis Green netted the other Flames marker. Matt Craig had two assists, while Steele added an assist in a three-point game.

Sherwood outshot North River 50-31 and went 2-for-2 on the power play. North River connected on 1-of-2 chances with the extra man.

James Duffy earned the win over Ryan Clory.

Sherwood led 2-0 after the first period and 3-1 at the second intermission.
