BATHURST, N.B. – Jordan Maher had a goal and three assists Sunday to pace the Acadie-Bathurst Titan to a 7-1 drubbing of the Charlottetown Islanders.

Summerside native Noah Dobson had a goal and two assist for the host Titan while former Isles forward Mitchell Balmas had two helpers and Liam Murphy scored twice.

Logan Chisholm, Marc-André LeCouffe also scored.

Samuel Meisenheimer from Thomas Casey and Gregor MacLeod replied for Charlottetown, which trailed 3-1 after the first period and 5-1 heading to the third.

Joseph Murdaca made 20 saves for the win while Dakota Lund-Cornish allowed seven goals on 35 shots in the loss.

Bathurst was 4-for-6 on the power play, killed all three of Charlottetown’s attempts and held a 40-19 advantage in the faceoff circle.

The Islanders (22-12-2-0) had won the first five games of the season with the Titan (20-10-6-2). Charlottetown hosts the Rimouski Oceanic (23-10-4-0) Thursday at 7 p.m.
