SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — The Summerside Capitals have completed play at the 2019 Quebec international peewee hockey tournament.

The Capitals, who were representing the Charlottetown Islanders of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, lost 4-0 to Rivière-Sud Collège Française on Sunday. It was Summerside’s second loss in the two-game-elimination format after dropping its opener to the Zurich Lions from Switzerland 5-0 on Friday.
Despite the disappointment of the early exit, Summerside head coach Andrew Griffin praised his team’s play, and noted the players will be able to grow from this experience against bigger and faster teams.
