HALIFAX, N.S. – Brooke Murphy and Laura Polak scored goals in the final 2:08 of the first period to lead the Saint Mary’s Huskies to a 2-0 victory over the UPEI Panthers Saturday in Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey action in Halifax.

Rebecca Clark made 16 saves for the shutout while Megan Sullivan made 47 saves in the loss. Kiana Wilkinson, Mary Worndl and Breanna Lanceleve had assists.

Saint Mary’s was 0-for-5 on the power play and UPEI was 0-for-2.

The Huskies improved to 13-3-1 while the Panthers are 4-8-6. The teams play again Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Montague Wellness Centre.
