CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Pownal Taco Boyz Red Devils scored early and often and doubled the Sherwood Drug Mart Central Attack 10-5 Monday in P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League play in Pownal.
Michael Gallant, Will MacDougall, Grant Koughan and Keegan Mitchell scored in the first period as Pownal held 4-0 and 8-2 period leads.
Nick Steele tossed in a hat trick and two assists for a five-point game. Gallant, Mitchell and Jack Triantafflou (1-1) netted the other Devils goal. Dawson Palmer (4) and Noah Morrison (2) chipped in multi-assist games.
Braden Donnelly (2), Emmet Lyons (1-1), Teddy Robbins and Connor Jones had the Attack scores, while Nicolas Brown tallied two helpers.
Trevor Whalen earned the win over Matthew Halliwell
Pownal was 1-for-2 on the power play. The Attack went 1-for-7 with the extra man.
