TIGNISH – Dawson Sellick and Tyson Beckingham ignited the Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces’ attack on Sunday night.
Sellick had two goals and three assists for a game-high five points while Beckingham netted a hat trick and added a single helper as the Aces downed the Summerside Cover-All Construction Crunch 9-3 in a Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League game at the Tignish Credit Union Arena.
Brayden Arsenault (1-1), Ryan Campbell (1-1), Will Tuplin and Lexin Gaudet also scored for the second-place Aces, who now stand at 15-5-0 (won-lost-overtime losses). Nick VanderVelden (3), affiliated player Kalim DesRoches (2) and Curklan Fraser also chipped in with assists.
James Birt (2) and Dexter Harper answered for the Crunch (6-15-0). Brandon Hastings (2), Bret Cheverie, Remi Arsenault and Cory Ramsay added helpers.
The Aces, who held period leads of 2-0 and 7-2, outshot the Crunch 35-20. Koby Bridges registered the goaltending win.
