Rimouski, paced by Richards’ 71 goals and 186 points in the regular season, proved an offensive juggernaut that averaged more than five goals per game and finished with a 64-22-4 record in the regular season plus playoffs. It boasted a 50-0-0 mark when leading after two periods and remains the only team in QMJHL history to go 4-0 at the Memorial Cup.

Thatcher Bell, also of Murray Harbour, was part of the team and contributed 26 goals in 69 points in the regular season.

Five players, Richards, Juraj Kolnik, Michel Ouellet, Aaron Johnson and Sebastien Caron, went on to play in the NHL.
