POWNAL, P.E.I. – Lance Kennedy scored with 2:20 remaining as the Pownal Taco Boyz Red Devils tied the Kings County Kings 3-3 Monday in Prince Edward Island Midget AAA Hockey League action.
Pownal held 1-0 and 2-1 period leads, but Jake MacLaren tied it midway through the third and Cam White gave the Kings their first lead of the game with 4:15 left.
Will MacDougall scored Pownal’s first two goals at Pownal Sports Centre. Michael Gallant had two assists while Cole McKeigan had one.
Alexander Dixon tallied a power-play goal in the second for the Kings. Gabe Hartlen, Owen MacNeil, Riley Jamieson and White had helpers for the Kings.
Caleb Drake (Pownal) and Nicolas Jamieson (Kings County) were the goalies.
Kings County was 1-for-5 on the power play and killed all five of Pownal’s man advantages.
The Kings are 12-2-3, second in the five-team league, while the Red Devils are 4-9-3, fourth in the circuit.
