ALBERTON – Five unanswered second-period goals proved to be the difference for the Pownal Taco Boyz Red Devils on Saturday night.
The offensive outburst opened up a 6-1 lead for the Red Devils after two periods en route to a 6-3 road win over the Western Regals in the P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League at the Jacques Cartier Arena.
Dawson Palmer (2-1), Keegan Mitchell (2-1), Lucas Parsons and Will MacDougall found the back of the net for the second-place Red Devils, who are 15-10-2 (won-lost-tied). Grant Koughan (2), Noah Morrison and Sammy Docherty drew assists.
Kalim DesRoches, Jax Harper and Chandler DesRoches replied for the Regals (8-12-5). Single helpers went to Tristan Cahill, Jesse Hackett, James Doyle and Aydan Kinch.
Winning goaltender was Trevor Whalen.
