CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Connor Andrews and Donovan Wyand have been selected as the Razzy’s Junior Hockey League players of the week for Nov. 6-12.
Andrews, who plays for the Flames, is the league’s offensive player of the week.
Andrews scored the winner late in the third period on Monday night in Sherwood to give the Flames the win. He also had two goals in a tight loss against the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces on Saturday night. Andrews leads the Flames in scoring with 10 points.
Meanwhile, Wyand, who plays for the IceDogs, takes top defensive honours.
Wyand scored the winner on a blast from the point on the power-play to lift the Georgetown Tri County Insulfoam IceDogs to their first victory of the season on Saturday night against Summerside. He had a big night defensively as well to help keep the Summerside Cover All Construction Crunch to just one goal.
