FREDERICTON, N.B. — Camille Scherger made 20 saves Saturday for her sixth shutout of the season as the UPEI Panthers defeated the UNB Varsity Reds 3-0 in Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey action.

Rachel Colle scored twice, including an empty-net goal, and Maria Clinton had a single in Fredericton, N.B. Kelly Clements, Delany Boehm, Samantha Mintz, Sydney Lyndon and Tyler Way had the assists.
Kendra Woodland made 26 saves in the loss.
After a scoreless first period, UPEI took a 2-0 lead to the third. Both teams were 0-for-1 on the power play.
The Panthers improved to 14-12-1, one point back of UNB (13-11-4) for fourth place in the standings. UPEI closes out the regular season today at 2 p.m. at MacLauchlan Arena with a contest with second-place St. FX X (17-7-3).
