GATINEAU, Que. – Jeremy McKenna of Summerside was a key performer for the Moncton Wildcats on Wednesday night.
The forward and assistant captain assisted on the team’s two regulation-time goals, and then scored the only goal of the shootout to give the Wildcats a 3-2 road victory over the Gatineau Olympiques in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
McKenna, in his third season with the Wildcats, now has 13 points – two goals and 11 assists – in eight regular-season games this year.
