KENSINGTON, P.E.I. — The Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild salvaged a split of back-to-back games in the New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League on Sunday afternoon.
The Wild trimmed the Fredericton Caps 12-3 after losing 3-2 in a shootout to the Northern Moose on Saturday night.
The results leave the second-place Wild at 26-6-2 (won-lost-overtime losses). Kensington will close out the regular season with a road game against the Moose (2-29-2) on Saturday night.

Offensive leaders
In Fredericton, N.B., Colby MacArthur (3-4) had seven points, Dixon MacLeod (2-4) registered six points and Landon Clow netted a hat trick and added an assist to pace the Wild attack. Ethan Beaulieu (1-1), Duncan Picketts (1-1), Isaac Wilson (1-1) and Zac Arsenault rounded out the scoring. Keiran Gallant, William Proud, Lucas Parsons, Reid Peardon and Kalib Snow all chipped in with two assists.
Ryan Penney (1-2), Sam Mossman (1-1) and Sam McKinney answered for Fredericton (8-22-4).
The Wild built period leads of 4-1 and 8-3.
Chad Arsenault made 31 saves in picking up the goaltending victory.
