BORDEN-CARLETON – One of two semifinal rounds in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League playoffs will begin on Sunday.

The Crapaud-based Southside Lynx will host the Georgetown Eagles in Game 1 of the best-of-five quarter-final series. Fans are asked to note the series opener will be played at the Gateway Arena in Borden-Carleton at 7 p.m.
Game 2 is at the Three Rivers Sportsplex in Georgetown on Friday, Feb. 16, at 8 p.m., with the Lynx hosting Game 3 at the South Shore Actiplex in Crapaud on Saturday, Feb. 17, at 7:40 p.m.
The Lynx completed regular-season play in third place at 17-10-1 (won-lost-overtime losses). The Eagles were sixth at 1-26-1.

Other quarter-final series
The North River Flames and the Summerside Cover-All Construction Crunch will meet in the other quarter-final series. North River currently sits in fourth place at 11-15-2, but just one point ahead of Summerside 11-15-1. The Crunch will conclude the regular season against the first-place Sherwood-Parkdale Metros (25-2-0) at The Plex in Slemon Park on Friday at 7 p.m.
The Metros and second-place Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces (18-8-2) have first-round byes.
