ALLENTOWN, PA – Suffolk Road native Ross Johnston scored an important goal for the New York Islanders on Friday night.
Johnston’s third-period tally tied the game 2-2, and the New York Islanders would cap the comeback with a 3-2 overtime win over the Philadelphia Flyers in National Hockey League pre-season action.
Johnston’s junior hockey resumé includes stints on P.E.I. with the Summerside D. Alex MacDonald Ford Western Capitals of the MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League) and the Charlottetown Islanders of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
