BATHURST, N.B. — Gaetan Jobin scored twice to lead the Charlottetown Islanders to a 3-1 road victory over the Acadie-Bathurst Titan on Sunday afternoon.
The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League game attracted 1,426 fans to the K.C. Irving Regional Centre.
Lukas Cormier also scored for the Islanders, who are now 5-0-2 (won-lost-overtime losses). Nikita Alexandrov (2), Kevin Gursoy and Noah Laaouan set up the goals.
Nicolas Kingsbury-Fournier netted the lone goal for the Titan (0-6-1).
The teams were tied 1-1 after the first and second periods.
Winning goaltender Matthew Welsh stopped 24 of 25 shots directed his way. Felix-Anthony Ethier allowed three goals on 35 shots in the Acadie-Bathurst goal.
