Jason Gallant scored a hat trick to lead the Western Red Wings past the Kensington Vipers 5-3 Sunday night in Island Junior Hockey League action.

Calvin McRae and Connor Morrissey had the other Western goals.

Silas Handrahan picked up a pair of assists for Western.

Spencer Sherron scored two goals for Kensington with the other marker coming from Logan Vandervelden. Easton Smith picked up a pair of assists.

Kensington outshot Western 41-26.

Bronson Banks picked up the win in net for Western while Cam Visser took the loss.
