MIRAMICHI, N.B. – Kennedy Gallant of Charlottetown had a debut to remember in the MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League).
Gallant, who played the last two seasons with the Charlottetown Bulk Carriers Pride major midget team, scored on his first regular-season shift 1:25 into the game to give the Miramichi Timberwolves an early 1-0 lead over the Edmundston Blizzard on Saturday night.
The Blizzard would go on to win the game 5-2.
Gallant is the great grandson of former longtime Charlottetown Abbies and Summerside Western Capitals head coach Forbie Kennedy.
