Pictou County Crushers forward Evan Gallant of Abram-Village scored twice and assisted on another for a three-point night in a 5-4 shootout loss to the Campbellton Tigers. Gallant was named the game’s second star.
Second-year Tigers forward Coleton Perry of North Bedeque contributed a pair of assists to improve his point total to 26 in 39 regular-season games. Perry has 14 goals and 12 assists.
Gallant, who was one of three Crushers unable to score in the shootout, has 26 points, including 11 goals, in 38 contests in his rookie season with the Crushers. The 2018 graduate of Evangeline School also has recorded five points in the Crushers’ last four games.
