SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Tyler Caseley from Spring Valley has been one of the main storylines through the first three games of the 2019 MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League) championship series.
The rookie goaltender from Spring Valley registered his second shutout in three games and was named the game's first star in backstopping the Yarmouth Mariners to a 3-0 win over the Campbellton Tigers on Thursday night.
The win gives the Mariners a commanding 3-0 series lead in the best-of-seven matchup. Game 4 is Friday night in Campbellton, N.B.
Caseley stopped all 34 shots in Game 3, played before 2,983 fans at the Campbellton Memorial Civic Centre.

The son of Trent and Jody Caseley, who turned 19 April 5, has stopped 85 of 86 shots in the three games against the Tigers, including a 24-save shutout in a 3-0 win in Game 1.
Caseley, the 2018-19 MHL rookie of the year, has an 11-2 (won-lost) record in 13 playoff games along with a 1.63 goals-against average and .937 save percentage.
