Spring Valley’s Tyler Caseley is heading back to the Maritime Junior Hockey League.

The Halifax Mooseheads cut the 19-year-old netminder on Saturday. The Herd will go with the returning tandem of Alexis Gravel and Cole McLaren in the crease.

Caseley was named the junior A circuit rookie of the year in 2018-19 after going 25-7-1 with a 2.55 goals-against average and .911 save percentage in 36 regular-season games with the Yarmouth Mariners. He got even better in the post-season, going 12-2 with a 1.94 goals-against average and .928 save percentage in helping the Mariners win the league title.

Yarmouth traded six-foot-five, 243-pound Caseley to the Valley Wildcats at the draft.
