POWNAL – The Eastern Express and Central Attack recorded wins in the P.E.I. Major Bantam AAA Hockey League on Saturday.
The Express spotted the Prince County Warriors a 2-0 lead after one period, before rallying for a 5-3 victory. Meanwhile, the Central Attack trimmed the visiting Mid-Isle Matrix 6-1.

At the Pownal Sports Centre, Sam Parsons scored a hat trick to spark the Express comeback. Jack Campbell had two goals and an assist to round out the scoring for the second-place Express, who improved to 11-8-4 (won-lost-overtime losses). Seth MacLeod (3), Gabe Hartlen, Holden Bradley and Carson Lund drew assists.
Zach Biggar (1-1), Sid McNeill and Max Chisholm found the back of the net for the O’Leary-based Warriors (9-10-2), who sit in third place in the four-team league. Donovan Arsenault (2), Sam Hackett and Carson Wood added helpers.
The Express scored three unanswered second-period goals to take a 3-2 advantage into the final frame.
Caleb Drake earned the goaltending win over Turner Ellis.
Attack 6 Matrix 1
At the Simmons Sport Centre in Charlottetown, the hometown Attack jumped out to period leads of 4-0 and 5-1.
Reid Vos (1-1), John MacKinnon (1-1), Jacob Squires (1-1), Tanner MacLean, Landon MacDonald and Isaac Vos scored for the league-leading Attack (16-5-2). Josh Lund (2), Alex Graham (2), Niklas Reeves, Tyler Worth and Kal White added helpers to round out Central’s balanced attack.
Angus Beaton set up Reese Wyand for Mid-Isle’s lone goal.
Winning goaltender was AJ Cooper.
Fourth-place Mid-Isle fell to 3-20-0.
