Island ruggers pitch perfect

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - The Hunter’s Ale House Mudmen overran its Nova Scotia Senior Rugby League competition on two fronts over the weekend, racking up a 112-12 points-for points-against advantage in the pair of games.

In Charlottetown, the B division team used speed and youth to thump Eastern Shore 52-12. The man of the match was centre and rookie Alex Hall.
Flankers Brodie Noonan and Sylvain Duguay had big games also for the Mudmen.
Meanwhile the A division team shut out Windsor 63-0 in Windsor, N.S., on four trys each from Simon Hood and Charlie Waddell.
Man of the match was Adam Fitzpatrick with multiple big plays and stifling defence.
The next action for both Mudmen teams is Saturday, Aug. 12, when the A division squad (2-0) faces the Truro Saints Truro, N.S., and the B division crew (2-0) tangles with the Riverlake Ramblers in Bedford, N.S.
