Salvon Ahmed rushed for two touchdowns, Washington's defense held Oregon State's offense scoreless, and the Huskies earned their eighth straight win over the Beavers in a 19-7 victory on Friday night in Corvallis, Ore.
Ahmed tallied a career-high 174 yards on 25 carries, and junior quarterback Jacob Eason finished 16 of 32 for 175 yards and two interceptions for the Huskies (6-4, 3-4 Pac-12).
But the 104th meeting between the teams was just as much about Washington's overwhelming defense.
The Huskies limited the Beavers, who scored 56 points in last week's win over Arizona, to 119 yards of total offense -- 31 rushing, 88 passing.
The visitors hounded OSU quarterback Jake Luton all night. The senior completed 19 of 28 passes for 88 yards with an interception for the Beavers (4-5, 3-3).
Entering their annual meeting, the North Division teams' combined scoring offenses totaled more than 68 points per game, but the defenses showed up before the Huskies finally broke through on the scoreboard.
Left-footer Peyton Henry -- one of seven FBS kickers who had gone without a miss entering this weekend -- curled in a 47-yard field goal with 1:54 left in the first quarter to improve to 16-for-16 this season.
Washington has outscored its opponents 107-13 in the first quarter in its 10 games.
Eason found tight end Hunter Bryant for a 50-yard gain with four minutes to play in the half, but w holding penalty wiped out the final 10 yards to leave the Huskies at the Beavers' 20. But Washington would still break through, Ahmed finishing the nine-play, 70-yard drive with a 6-yard scoring run.
On fourth-and-4 from the Oregon State 45, Luton tossed just his second interception this season as Elijah Molden snared the ball with less than 40 seconds before half. But Henry pulled a 28-yarder from the left hash on the final play before intermission for his first miss, leaving the score 10-0.
However, the Lou Groza Award semifinalist atoned later with a 33-yarder at 9:18 of the third quarter for a 13-0 lead, though he later missed from 40 yards in the fourth quarter.
OSU came to life when walk-on safety Jaydon Grant intercepted an Eason pass and returned it 36 yards to trim the Beavers' deficit to 13-7.
Ahmed busted out on a 60-yard scoring run two series later for Washington, bouncing out to the sideline and outrunning OSU's defense for his ninth touchdown.
The Huskies' defense dominated with five consecutive three-and-outs in the second half, not allow a first down and yielded just eight yards of OSU offense.
